Privacy Policy
This policy explains how ZPresso LLC ("ZPresso", "we", "us") handles personal information. It applies to this website, zpresso.org, and to the software we develop and operate, including our websites, web apps, mobile apps and browser extensions (together, the "Services"). ZPresso LLC is a limited liability company licensed by Sharjah Media City (Shams) Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (licence no. 2115421.01).
Some Services have their own privacy policy that describes that product in more detail. Where they do, that policy applies to the product together with this one, and it takes priority if the two differ.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name and email address, and a password if you choose to set one. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that provider.
- Content you create or upload: for example recordings, transcripts, screenshots, files, notes, webinar settings and chat messages.
- Usage and device data: such as pages visited, features used, browser or device type, IP address and error logs. We use this to run, secure and improve the Services.
- Purchase records: when you buy through an app store or a payment platform, that provider processes your payment. We receive a record of the purchase but not your full card details.
- Messages to us: anything you send when you email us or contact support.
2. How we use it
We use personal information to provide and maintain the Services, to create and secure your account, to process the content you ask us to process, to send sign-in links and service messages, to answer support requests, to prevent abuse, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. If you agree to receive news or product emails, we send those too, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
3. Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the Services. They include cloud hosting and databases, email delivery, customer relationship management, payment and app store platforms, and AI and speech-recognition providers that process content you submit for features such as transcription or chat. These providers handle data on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service.
4. We do not sell your data
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the providers above, when you ask us to (for example by creating a public share link), or when the law requires it.
5. Retention
We keep personal information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Some products delete content automatically after a set period, as described in that product.
6. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable infrastructure providers to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your sign-in links private.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to close your account, by emailing hello@zpresso.org. Some products also let you do this in their settings. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
8. Children
Our Services are intended for adults. Products designed for family use are meant to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent's consent. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
We are based in the United Arab Emirates and our providers may process data in other countries. By using the Services you understand that your information may be processed outside your own country.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be announced on this page or in the product.
