Book Factory Terms of Service
Book Factory — website and iPhone app. Last updated 23 August 2026.
Book Factory is operated by ZPresso LLC. By using the website or the iPhone app you agree to these terms.
Your account
One account, one person. Keep your password to yourself — anything done with your account is treated as done by you. Tell us if you think someone else has got into it.
Credits and purchases
Books made on our AI spend credits. Before a book starts you are quoted a fixed price; that amount is charged when the book starts, and refunded in full automatically if the book fails. Credits are not cash, have no value outside Book Factory, and are not exchangeable. Purchases are made on the Book Factory website, not inside the app.
Your books
The books you make are yours to use, sell and publish. You are responsible for what you put in and what you do with what comes out — including checking anything the book states as fact before you rely on it or publish it.
What you may not do
- Paste in material you have no right to use.
- Make anything illegal, deceptive, or built to harm somebody.
- Resell access to the service itself, or share one account across a team.
- Attack, overload, or try to break into the service.
What we promise, and what we don't
We work to keep Book Factory running and to fix what breaks, but the service is provided as-is. AI writing is not perfect: it can be wrong, dull, or off-brief, which is why every book can be revised. We are not liable for what you publish or for indirect losses. Where we are liable, it is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months.
Ending it
You can stop using Book Factory whenever you like and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
